Art Journey “Stardust Dreams”

Sometimes, an idea begins in the most unexpected way.

The idea for this artwork emerged from a meditation. In my imagination, I saw a close-up of an eye – behind it, stars and the cosmos. Over time, the image became clearer, so I began working on it.
While sketching, it intuitively developed into a face that seemed to form on its own, surrounded by cosmic clouds, galaxies and stars.

From the very beginning, I knew I would have to use black paper. The contrast was meant to capture the depth and magic of the night sky. But working on a black surface requires patience— Colored pencils sometimes appear differently on black paper than on light paper. Every line and every shading must be carefully placed to achieve its full effect. every line, every shade must be carefully placed to achieve its full effect.

In addition, I also made a few eye sketches for the main work. A simple storyboard for the original idea.

The idea behind this piece is difficult to put into words because it comes less from the mind and more from a deep feeling. It is about a sense of connection—with the universe, with oneself, and with something greater.

It is a moment of stillness, a glimpse into another world. It is a harmony with oneself and everything that is—an inner energy that takes form as a spiritual companion, a kind of “Spirit Guide.”

This drawing is part of the series Space In Between. It captures fleeting moments in which time seems to stand still, allowing us to experience the transition between dreams and reality.

Perhaps it may inspire others, even if only for a brief moment, to find access to inner peace and a sense of universal connection.
